Just about finished this one. Waiting to dry before I add glass effect to measuring cup. Can't decide if I overworked the basket.

This is where I stop today...about 4 hours. More tedious than I expected. Saving that basket for last as I know it will be tedious. Not quite finished with the measuring cup...I see some shaping that needs adjusting.

16 x 20 on Gallery wrapped canvas. This will be my w/e project. I started last Thursday and have just a couple of hours into. The challange will be my antique basket...hope I can get those weaves looking correct. I'm trying some of those techniques in that new book I got last week...one of which is the soft grey background which the book suggest having a quite place for your eye to rest. It's a mixture of burnt sienna and ultramarine blue w/white. Had to fight the urge to add sap green but I remembered your admonition about using that one often.

22 x 30 on Birch - Starting to think I might be a "Colorist"! There is another parrot in front of this one & might add a baby somewhere..not sure. Not quite finished with some detail in the palms, but so far I like the depth I've acquired.
