Ivy's First Portrait - Student

This is Ivy's 1st ever portrait in oil - 11 x 14 and it's from a study of Paul Gauguin's painting of his sister. Very difficult to do but she picked and now says it's her very best. I think she's right!

Wow. Ivy, you are taking on some seriously tough subjects and doing very well with them.

Her skirt is great and I think you chose the colors for her blouse and face. Very nice. I would be flattered if I were Gauguin or Gauguin' sister.

I can't wait to see what you try next.
